Mimi (Rice) – Our Red Tabby Maine Coon Gentleman
Mimi (affectionately called “Rice”) is a unique red tabby Maine Coon stud with a distinctive coat pattern. Unlike typical tabbies, he only shows delicate markings on his face while the rest of his body is covered in a uniform, warm red hue – just like a freshly baked, fluffy red velvet cake.
This “big guy” from Russia has some surprisingly adorable quirks:
- Demands to cuddle in bed every night, snuggling like a living heating pad
- His luxuriously soft fur makes him feel like a purring cloud when held
- Shows gentlemanly manners to his big brother Cookie (the Border Collie), often initiating affectionate rubs
- Particularly enjoys commandeering Cookie's dog bed, curling up into a giant red furball
However, our gentle giant has some minor flaws:
- His strong territorial instinct leads to occasional "marking" behaviors
- When hormones kick in, he leaves "love notes" around the house
Despite these, Mimi remains the most beloved “big boy” in our cattery, showing his love for the family in his own unique way.
